The waiting and the coming,
The starting and the end,
The striving and the ceasing,

The waking and the sleeping,

The loving and the hating,

Brief Thoughts (No. 12)

Often, we want something without knowing how hard it will be to get it. Or even to want it. Because wanting something – if you want it badly enough – can exact a high cost. So be prepared.

From every human being there rises a light that reaches straight to Heaven. And when two souls are destined for each other and find each other, their streams of light flow together and a single brighter light goes forth from their united being.Β

Brief Thoughts (No. 11)

How do you achieve the virtue of self-discipline without becoming stiff and rigid and overly controlled? To lack spontaneity and to be soΒ consideredΒ in everything seems a bit inhuman to me. Certainly not my idea of free or fun. But order is pleasing, chaos is not. I swing between extremes. How to tap into my desire for structure and systems while staying flexible and adaptable and – in essence – able to go where the Spirit blows?
